How do I avoid a same day cancellation fee?

In order to avoid the same-day cancellation fee of $150, please let us know 24 hours in advance if you need to postpone or cancel.

We understand that rescheduling or canceling appointments is sometimes necessary. At Open Homes, we strive for partnerships and try to be as flexible with our clients as possible.

That said, we must have guidelines around same-day cancellations in order to ensure that our photographers are compensated for their time and OHP does not forfeit potential business.

Please be sure to check the weather forecast in advance and let us know if you want to postpone.

With the exception of aerial drone shoots, (which can not be done if there is any precipitation or high winds), a same-day cancellation fee will be applied, even if it is raining on the day of your shoot.

Please note that we often perform shoots despite sub-optimal weather and we can usually add blue skies to your photos. View some blue sky examples here!

If you need to cancel your appointment the same day because the staging isn’t ready, or due to some other third party, consider having them reimburse you for the cancellation fee.

If the property is mostly ready, we can proceed with a full shoot today and schedule a Pick-Up shoot for another day. A Pick-Up Shoot includes 1-10 photos.

We offer two types of Pick-Up Shoots:

• Scheduled: 1-10 photos for $200. These are scheduled at 10 am or 3 pm.

• Go-Anytime: 1-10 photos for $150. These are completed at 'any time' on the requested date.
